About Ford Vision Clinic
A Brief History of Our Practice
Dr. Ford began his first practice in 1977 in Starkville. Having outgrown two previous locations, we now have a newly remodeled office, dispensary, and full-service lab—the only free standing dispensary in Starkville.
Staff
Pam is our dispensing optician. She has over 10 years of experience, mostly with Dr. Ford. Her primary job is to make frame selections, do frame repairs, and help you with all your eyeglass questions.
Ginny has been certified as a Paraoptometric since 2001. She has over 13 years of experience, all with Dr. Ford, and has worked in every capacity in the office—from choosing the right frame to handling insurance claims. She is the manager of the Looking Glass.
Robin is our lab technician. She is responsible for making sure that your glasses are made in a timely and proper manner. She can also help you with your frame selections and eyeglass repairs.
Ashton helps run our front office. Her job is to confirm all the appointments and handle insurance. If you have any questions about your insurance eligibility, she is the one to ask.
Tina has been certified as a Paraoptometric since 2001 and has over 10 years of experience, all with Dr. Ford. She is our office manager and will help you with appointments, insurance, and contact lenses, all the while making you feel welcome.
Lydia is our primary technician. She is the person who takes your patient history and prepares you for your eye exam. She also does our diagnostic testing and is the person to see if you're interested in contact lenses.
PAYMENTS
All services are paid for on the day they are performed. When ordering materials (contact lenses, glasses, etc.), you will pay half of the amount due. The remaining half is due when you pick up your materials.
Our office accepts personal checks, cash, and all major credit cards.
INSURANCE PLANS
We accept a wide range of insurances: Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Humana, Eyemed, Acclaim, 4-County, Advantra Freedom, Pacificare, Pyramid, Vision Care (Comp. Benefits), VSP, and Wellcare. If we do not take your insurance, the statement we provide when you check out will have all the information available for you to submit your claim. If we are not providers for your insurance and you are planning to submit your own claim, you will want to check with your insurance company beforehand to see if they will reimburse you for visiting a non-networked doctor.
